Chip Smith – Interim CEO
Chip Smith was Chief Security Officer for The Bank of New York Mellon. He directed and supervised a worldwide security program that encompasses the investigation and prevention of fraud-related activities as well as the physical protection of corporate assets, employees, customers and executives. He served on the Bank’s Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Contingency Planning and Anti-Money Laundering Teams. The Bank of New York is a global leader in the financial markets. Mr. Smith retired from the United States Secret Service after 24 years of service. He held a variety of positions in field offices and headquarters, culminating with his appointment as the Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Office, the Service’s largest and busiest office. During his career, Mr. Smith was assigned to the Vice Presidential Protective Division, the Presidential Protective Division and as the Special Assistant to the Treasury Secretary. He served as the security coordinator for several high profile protective venues, to include: the U.S. delegation attending the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain, 1992; the Presidential Inaugural activities of 1993; the dedication of the Holocaust Museum, Washington, DC, 1994; and the visit of Pope John Paul II to New York, 1995. In 1996, he supervised the protective detail assigned to Presidential Candidate Robert Dole. Mr. Smith holds bachelors and masters degrees in Criminal Justice from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He joined Dubin Clark as an advisor in April of 2012.
Mike Halloran – Vice President and CFO
Michael M. Halloran joined Action Target as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in march 2011. Prior to this he was with Otix Global, Inc., from April 1999 as Corporate Controller, subsequently promoted to Vice President in December 2002 and then Chief Financial Officer in July 2006. Mr. Halloran began his career at Ernst & Young in ther New York Metro region, where he worked from 1985 to 1994, rising to Senior Audit Manager. From 1994 to 1999, he held various senior positions at C.R. Bard, a large medical device company, based in New Jersey. Mr. Halloran has earned a Certified Public Accountant licensure and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from State University of New York at Oswego.
Randy Graham – Vice President of Sales
Randy Graham currently serves as the Vice President of Sales for Action Target, where he oversees sales across the law enforcement, military, international and commercial markets as well as manages range design, project management and installation. Prior to joining Action Target in 2008, Mr. Graham amassed more than 15 years of experience in international business, working as the VP of International Business Development for Novarad, the Operations Manager for a subsidiary of Intel Corporation in Denmark, as well the Materials Manager for Intel Corporation in the Philippines, China, and Costa Rica. Mr. Graham received his MBA and his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University.
Addison Sovine – Founder / Advisor
Addison Sovine co-founded Action Target along with Kyle Bateman in 1986. Mr. Sovine drove the creative genesis of many of the Company’s current products. He worked with his business partners to refine product ideas into marketable solutions and to create entire markets that were previously nonexistent. Mr. Sovine headed the Company’s sales and marketing team during the first 15 years of operations and has secured many of the Company’s large contracts over the years. He was also responsible for the creation of the Company’s military department and has been designated a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by the U.S. Military in the design and application of training technology. Mr. Sovine has lectured at conferences for the FBI and other Federal agencies as well as most of the major training facilities throughout the country. Today, Mr. Sovine is still active as an Advisor to the Company. Mr. Sovine attended Weber State University and Utah Valley University where he concentrated on business management, marketing and advertising.
Kyle Bateman – Founder / Advisor
Kyle Bateman co-founded Action Target in 1986 along with Mr. Sovine. Mr. Bateman has worked to develop the corporate organization and procedural structure necessary to bring the Company to its current prominence in the industry. This includes developing the ERP system and its accompanying database to support the business operations of Action Target. Today, Mr. Bateman is still active as an Advisor to Action Target, although he no longer heads the operations of the Company. Mr. Bateman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
Kyle Burdette – Vice President of Quality Assurance
Kyle Burdette currently serves as the Vice President of Quality Assurance for Action Target, where he manages a team of individuals responsible for all technical support and customer service functions. Mr. Burdette has been with Action Target for more than 16 years and previously held the position of Director of Marketing. Prior to joining Action Target, Mr. Burdette spent three years as an advertising manager for a publishing company in Utah. Mr. Burdette received his Bachelors of Science in Marketing from Brigham Young University.
