Chief Executive Officer
Michael Birch joined Action Target as the Chief Executive Officer in February 2014. Prior to this, Birch worked as a Vice President and General Manager at Boart Longyear, the world’s largest mineral exploration drilling company. While at Boart Longyear, Birch was responsible for their core business which included $1.5 billion in revenue, more than 8000 employees, and 1200 drilling rigs operating in 40 countries. He was also a member of an executive team responsible for $2.3 billion IPO of Boart Longyear on the Australian Stock Exchange.Birch began his career at Black & Decker where he worked in varying sales and marketing leadership positions, culminating in his assignment as a General Manager over Baldwin Hardware. While at Black & Decker, Birch was also a part of a leadership team that launched the DeWalt Industrial Power Tool brand in the U.S. and Europe. The DeWalt story is now a case study used by the best business schools across the country. Birch received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University.
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Shayne Gibbons joined the Action Target team in December 2014 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Gibbons has over 20 years of diverse global experience in resolving complex financial and operational issues for both manufacturing and service organizations. Prior to coming to Action Target, Gibbons worked at Boart Longyear where he was the Vice President of Finance for the Drilling Services division where he dictated the financial planning, strategy, and accounting for the $1.5 billion division with operations in over 40 countries. Previous to that, Gibbons worked at Navistar where he held several finance and accounting positions of increasing responsibility that included Director of Finance for Truck Manufacturing, Director of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis, and VP and CFO of the Custom Products division. Gibbons is a Certified Public Accountant and is Six Sigma Black Belt Certified. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a bachelor’s degree in Business from Brigham Young University.
Vice President of Engineering & Marketing
Kevin Tomaszewski joined Action Target in March 2014 as Vice President of Engineering and Marketing. During his career he spent over 17 years in progressive leadership roles with market-leading corporations such as Black & Decker, Cooper Industries (Eaton) and Boart Longyear where he gained significant experience in consumer and industrial products supporting residential and commercial construction, energy and mining markets.Prior to joining Action Target, Tomaszewski was employed by Boart Longyear in South Jordan, Utah for over five years where he held various senior management positions of increasing responsibility in both Drilling Products and Drilling Services divisions including Global Director of Strategy and Business Development, General Manager USA Surface Core Drilling and Global Director Marketing and Communications.Formerly he was employed by Cooper Industries and Black & Decker where he also established expertise in Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Business Development and Commercial Strategy. Tomaszewski is a graduate of Black & Decker’s Manufacturing Management Development Program and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.
Vice President of Global Sales
Robin Hansen currently serves as the Vice President of Global Sales for Action Target where he oversees sales across the law enforcement, military, international, and commercial markets. Prior to Action Target, Hansen worked at Cannon-Denmark as a Marketing Manager and also at Xerox-Denmark where he held various positions including Marketing Director. Hansen joined Action Target in November of 2009 as the European Sales Manager. He was later appointed Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and in March 2014, Hansen was promoted to Vice President of Global Sales. Hansen has a degree in business from the Copenhagen Business School.
Human Resources Manager
Liz Norman joined the Action Target team in 2010 and has made hard work, diligent attention to detail, and great shoes her calling cards. As the head of Human Resources, Norman has enjoyed building the company while recruiting talent that can take Action Target to the next level and beyond. She’s focused on surrounding each department with motivated, driven people who share the Action Target vision. Norman has worked on a number of special projects and held several positions during her time with the company, but her current focus and work in HR making Action Target a fun and fulfilling place to work while giving structure to the organization has been some of the most challenging and rewarding work to be involved in.
Vice President of After Market Services
Kyle Burdette currently serves as the Vice President of Quality Management for Action Target, where he manages the customer service and technical support, range design, installation, and project management departments. Burdette has been with Action Target for more than 20 years and previously held the position of Director of Marketing. Prior to joining Action Target, Burdette spent two years as an advertising manager for a publishing company in Utah. Burdette received his Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from Brigham Young University.
Vice President of Supply Chain
Tyler Webster currently serves as the Vice President of Supply Chain for Action Target where he oversees the development and execution of business processes and strategy to support company performance. Before joining Action Target in April 2014 as the Director of Supply Chain and Quality, Webster held various strategic sourcing positions at Boart Longyear. In these roles he managed global teams accountable for over $400M in annual spend with a supply base of 15,000 vendors across 40 countries. Webster began his career at Alysha Rays LC, an entrepreneurial venture where he focused on the design, importation and sale of consumer products. He also spent a number of years at Protiviti Consulting as a specialist in business process improvement, data analysis, SEC compliance and risk mitigation. Webster holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Brigham Young University.
